Tomoki Hosaka is a master’s student at the Department of Urban Engineering,
School of Engineering, University of Tokyo, Japan. As a member of the Urban Land Use
Planning Unit, his principal interests are in planning processes of sustainable cities and districts, and their urban form. Tomoki’s bachelor thesis, entitled “Urban Form and Environmental Techniques of District-Scale Sustainable Development Projects in France -How the Projects Responded to the ‘Engagements’ in ‘Label ÉcoQuartiers’-”, revealed how the urban form and environmental techniques were selected and combined in 3 “écoquartiers” projects, Clichy-Batignolles (Paris), Ginko -Berges du Lac- (Bordeaux), Les Passerelles (Annecy).
