
Ai Nishimura
Bio
Ai Nishimura is a researcher with an expertise in evaluation systems for sustainable neighborhoods. Her research topic covers a broad range of issues in urban policy studies and political analysis on sustainability of urban neighborhoods in comparative perspective between Japan, Europe and Africa. She worked for the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and she was a visiting researcher of French Ministry of ecology, sustainable development and energy between 2012 and 2013 for developing an eco-neighborhood evaluation system, Ecoquartier. She also worked for CEAFJP (Centre for French-Japanese Advanced Studies in Paris) at EHESS (Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales) as an associate researcher since 2017. Ai is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Tokyo.
